Duplicate or merged workouts
VegaLoop merges duplicates by rule, so a workout that seems missing or merged is usually one of these cases:
| Situation | Rule | Result |
|---|---|---|
| You logged a session by hand, then the same session arrived from a device | Same activity type, start times within 5 minutes | The device version replaces yours. Your notes are kept on it, marked as a manual note. |
| The same provider activity syncs again | Same provider activity id | Never imported twice, however many syncs run. |
| Two workouts of the same type start within 10 minutes with durations within 20 percent of each other | Near-match | Treated as one workout; the existing one stays. |
| A device workout matches a planned session | Same day and type, start within 2 hours, duration within half the plan | The planned session is marked Done rather than a second workout being created. |
My manual workout disappeared
A device version of the same session arrived and replaced it. Open the device version from the calendar: your notes are there. Nothing to fix. If you wanted the manual values kept (a treadmill distance the watch did not record, for example), the device version takes precedence; correct it in the provider’s app and it updates on the next sync.
The same workout shows twice
This happens when the two copies fall outside the rules, most often:
- different activity types (the watch recorded Other for a sport VegaLoop names differently, while you logged it as Running);
- start times more than 5 minutes apart (a manual entry logged with a rounded time);
- two providers connected that both record the same session (a Garmin watch and an Oura ring during the same run).
Open the copy you do not want and select Delete. Deleting a synced copy does not stop future syncs; the same provider activity is not re-imported. If two providers keep sending the same sessions, keep the one with the better data (heart rate and laps) and consider the other as a sleep and recovery source only.
Training load looks doubled
If readiness dropped after a day with two copies of one session, deleting the extra copy corrects the load from the next recalculation. See Readiness looks too low in the first week.
Still wrong
