Where VegaLoop runs

VegaLoop is a web app at app.vegaloop.com. It runs in a current version of Chrome, Edge, Firefox, or Safari on a laptop, a tablet, or a phone, and there is nothing to install. Every feature is available in every browser; the layout reflows on narrow screens.

VegaLoop does not record workouts itself. Workouts come from your watch or ring through the services below, or are logged by hand.

How provider sports are named

A provider’s sport is mapped to one of VegaLoop’s activity types: treadmill to Running, indoor cycling and spinning to Cycling, gym to Strength, mountaineering to Hiking. Anything without a match keeps the provider’s name and counts under Other. A multi-sport activity arrives as one workout with the provider’s overall type. Indoor cycling with a power meter supplies power, which is what load uses for cycling; a treadmill’s elevation is passed through as the provider sent it.

Not supported

Apple Watch, Samsung watches, Whoop, Strava, Fitbit through the old Fitbit account (migrate it to Google Health), and MyFitnessPal have no connection. Workouts from those can be logged by hand from Add Workout. A Withings or Garmin scale covers weight; other scales do not sync.

Data VegaLoop stores from devices

Workouts, their per-second samples and laps, daily metrics, sleep, and body measurements. Raw activity files are kept so a workout can be re-read later; after 180 days they move to slower storage but are not deleted. Disconnecting a provider stops new data and keeps what synced. Deleting your account removes everything; see Your account and data.
