Frequently asked questions

Account

Is there an app to install?
No. VegaLoop runs in your browser at app.vegaloop.com, on a laptop, a tablet, or a phone.
Can I change my email address?
No. The email is fixed when the account is created. If you need a different address, create a new account with it and export your data from the old one first.
I signed up with Google. Can I add a password?
No. Keep using Continue with Google.
Why do I have to sign in every week?
Sessions last up to 7 days. Keep me signed in keeps the session across browser restarts for that long.
How do I delete my account?
Settings, Account, Delete account, then type delete my account. It is immediate and cannot be undone; export first. See Your account and data.
Is there two-factor authentication or dark mode?
Neither, at present.

Logging and data

Do I have to log every meal for the numbers to work?
The calorie and macro targets work on any day you log. Trends, the readiness nutrition adjustment, and nutrition goals need most days logged to be useful.
Can I log a meal from last week?
Up to 30 days back, from the calendar on the Nutrition tab. Older dates are refused.
Can I edit a workout?
No, neither a synced one nor a manual one. Correct a synced workout in the provider’s app and it updates on the next sync. Delete a manual workout and log it again.
Can I move a meal to another day or change its time?
No. Delete it and log it again on the right day from the Nutrition calendar. Adjust (on the dashboard feed) changes serving, quantity, and slot only.
Why did my manual workout disappear?
A device version of the same session arrived and replaced it. Your notes are kept on the device version. See Duplicate or merged workouts.
Can I delete a recipe, a meal plan, or a custom food?
Your own recipes and meal plans, yes, from their page, after a confirmation. Custom foods are deleted from their row under Your custom foods in the food search. Library items cannot be deleted.
Can I edit a weight I entered wrongly?
No. Measurements are kept as a history. Record the correct value; the newest one is used.
Do my units change my data?
No. Values are stored once and shown in the unit system you choose.
Does water count toward the streak?
No. Only a logged meal or a completed workout does.

Plans and billing

What does Free include?
See Free and Plus at a glance.
If I cancel Plus, do I lose my data?
No. Everything stays. Training history older than 30 days is hidden until you return to Plus.
Where do I find invoices or change my card?
Settings, Billing, Manage billing opens the Stripe portal.
I have a code. Where do I enter it?
At app.vegaloop.com/redeem, which opens a monthly checkout with the code applied. Annual-only codes go on Stripe’s checkout page from the Plans page instead.
Can I get a refund?
Cancelling does not refund the current period. The Terms allow a written request within 30 days of a purchase for an error or dissatisfaction, at VegaLoop’s discretion. See Billing policies.

Devices

Which devices work?
See Supported devices and platforms.
Does my Apple Watch work?
No. There is no Apple connection. Log those workouts by hand.
How far back does the first import go?
Polar none, Garmin about 31 days by upload date, most others as far as the provider holds. Import History fetches more. See Connect your devices.
Why does my Oura workout have no heart rate?
Oura sends workouts without heart rate. The connection is mainly for sleep and recovery data.

Notifications

Where are reminders?
There are none yet. The Notifications page and the toggles in Settings are placeholders, and VegaLoop sends no reminders.

Something else

Is VegaLoop medical advice?
No. It is a training and nutrition tool. Talk to a clinician about health decisions. See VegaLoop and your health.
Is there an API, a CSV export, or another language?
No API and no CSV; the JSON export is the only export. The app is in English only, with Metric or Imperial units.
How do I make a privacy request?
Export and delete are in Settings. Anything else goes by email; see Your privacy rights.
Something is broken.
Check the status page, look the message up in Messages and what they mean, then contact support with what you saw and the browser you used.
